    I don't think it's the exclusive problem of those who stay home (and could be argued that it's equally difficult if not more so for working parents). It's just something you schedule in just like everything else you schedule into your day. Time management is time management whether it's at home or at work. Plenty of SAHMs run businesses, study with OU etc.

    When my son was small he'd get up at 6 so I'd get up at five -and have a quiet hour to get things done-sometimes I'd treat it as me time , other times I'd have specific tasks I wanted/needed to get done.
