Hi there,
Give you a quick background on myself, I work for United Utilities, on the Warrington site in customer, My main area of work deals with the metered side of things and i have a look on here every now and again to see what peoples issues are and see if I can guide them in anyway.
Now 99% of the threads in this section are complaints/views expressed against the water companies, which is understandable when you have issues and have no where else to go.
Now i'm just wondering to myself if anyone that browses these parts of town have anything good to say about UU or any other water co.
I know peoples experience vary from case to case but how does everyone feel how they're issue query had been dealt with, cause i know that when I'm dealing with a customer i ensure that the issue at hand is resolved and case own the account until everything has been set right for the customer.

I have nothing good to say about any Water Company.
The Water Company I have the misfortune to be currently dealing with, are vastly incompetent and negligent. They are liars, crooks and bullies. I won't name them, as it may well go back to court, again.
This Water Co, couldn't find the EIGHT separate leaks on a 200 metre straight length of 100mm main, for between two to three years, while hundreds of thousands of pounds worth of damage were being caused to the highway. How's that for incompetence? They got away with it, , because their solicitors are like Rottweilers, and no dirty trick is too low for them to use. (you and me, i.e. the tax-payer, picked up the bill)
In my view, Water Companies have accustomed themselves to the belief that they are infallible, and above the law, They alone know whether they have any leaks, until you point out their obvious leaks to them. Then they say, "Well, leak detection is a difficult business, you know". If it is difficult, they need to get better at it, then.
They know you can't change suppliers, so you're stuck with them.
The CCW and OFWAT don't give a toss - I know other posters will disagree, but I speak from my own experience.0
