I've already refunded yet paypal still asking me to refund

This is the 2nd time now....both sent abroad....item not received....buyer opens paypal dispute and escalate to claim....i refund....in this last case i refunded on 8th july....now just got this from paypal
The buyer has asked Customer Support to review this case and make a final decision.

We'll get back to you within 48 hours.

You can view the details of this case in the Resolution Centre...
i click to res centre and asks me to refund....

Paypal shows i have refunded and in my ebay there are no open cases, infact states case close buyer refunded.....why is this happening
Surely this will put my score down as the last time it happened it states case was closed by Paypal when it clearly wasn't.....don't want this to happen again

All very odd

If the buyer has opened an eBay/Paypal case then the funds will be on hold until the case is closed.

Did you click on the paypal transaction and refund from there rather than send payment to the buyer?

I did it via the resolution centre, after going through the stages it gave me the option to refund....
this is what I don't understand.
I have checked on the first time as i was worried I have refunded twice but it doesn't seem to have but is still making it seem as though i didn't voluntarily refund??

If you click on the case and send another response is there an option that says 'I have already refunded the buyer?' I seem to remember an option like that from the case I had open yesterday.

Exactly the same happened to me. I had an Australian buyer who emailed to say her item hadn't arrived and then 10 minutes later opened a case on the basis that 'seller was not responding'. I refunded within 10 hours (basically as soon as I logged in next) and although she then left a positive thanking me, the case remained opened for around another 13 days with the funds being held and funds were released as soon as paypal closed the case.

Incidentally, it does not show as an opened case on my dashboard.
