Hello to you all,
i have been on and off the site watching (like many do before joining lol)......
anyway, i was hoping that you lovely people may be able to help me as im really unsure where to start...
story so far....
i had an operation to have an acl reconstruction back in November last year, the operation went well and i started to rehabilitation, but things started to go wrong, i couldn't cope with the amount of pain, my leg from my knee down was like a balloon ready to burst, and the colour of my leg changed, i eventually got referred to see a specialist (with thanks to my GP) and the specialist diagnosed me with a disease called complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS) not sure if any of you have ever herd of it before because i never had untill i got told i had it, i have physio and hyro therapy every week (not making any improvement) an im waiting to have a lumbar sympathetic or bias block. I am also now under the Walton center in Liverpool who deal with this disease and ive been put forward to have a spinal cord simulator as the consultant thinks this would be my best option as i have this disease quite bad as it was left untreated for so long,, i can not walk without crutches which i only manage to use around the house, when i go out i have to use my wheel chair.
anyway i was told to put in for disability, which i did and i got a reply last week (after waiting 9weeks) an they have given me the higher rate mobility and middle rate care (which im so pleased that ive got) my question is what other help is out there, and what other help can i get financially? as we are living of my husbands wadge (which isnt that much) hope that someone will be able to help an answer my question or point me in the right direction? xx
