This is frustrating, very time consuming to enter especially as need to do all 6 steps then comment 6 times for each step and the blog tells you to slow down as your commenting too quickly!

im really sorry to bump but i have to say this as its annoyed me for a couple of days

most people thank the OP when they go to the time and effort to post a comp, i appreciate that comps like this are frustrating to enter but its not like you are forced to enter

you didnt even press the thanks button, you choose to come on here and moan

My turn to apologise for bumping, but I wanted to put another point across as tink's post irked me somewhat.

Admittedly em's post is a bit rant'y, but I actually found it somewhat informative. My issue is this whole 'demanding thanks'. We're not forced to enter comps that people post by all means, but by the same token, you're certainly not forced to post them, but then to demand that everyone presses the thanks button for the effort you've not been forced to put in I think is a bit rich.

As someone had mentioned on a previous episode of 'Comping Arguments', the Thanks button is a privilege, not a right. IMO the Entered button is much more useful on this board in particular, so I press that. I'll thank OP's who've posted winning comps but that's how I am (yeah, I know, rude, unappreciative... yawn, whatever).

If you feel the need to have a physical reminder of how 'awesome' you are, or if you're really going for more little medals under your name then that's fine. Just don't assume that everyone is like that, because for sure we aren't.

Now go whinge about me in the Inn.
