if a full timer (35hrs) gets 189 hrs plus all bank hols then someone working 26hrs should get 140.4 hrs plus 74% of the bank holiday hours.

Would have been easier with all the figures upfront.

Another 'thought' which you may find helpful is that p/t staff should get the same leave entitlement, pro rata, as f/t staff. However, if the employer does not 'open' on Bank Holidays, p/t staff may get more or less choice about exactly when they take their leave, depending on which days of the week they usually work.

As your DH usually works Mondays, then he will have less choice about when he takes leave than someone who does usually work Mondays.

If he is not using normal holiday hours for BH what hours are they paying for those extra days?

    Is he currently working 4 days, 3*9 + 1*8?

how are they working out the 189hrs?
