No i am not saying i want to live rent free thats ridiculous. This is the third time i am renting and haven come across apportioned rent in advance have always paid deposit including 6 weeks rent and then rent from next month.
Also still not happy with admin fee of 187 as admin fee was already paid for 225. 187 was never communicated to us0 -

I think you may not have fully understood what you were asked to pay in the past.
Normally at the start of a tenancy you are required to pay a deposit (often equivalent to 1 or 1.5 months rent) AND rent for the first month.
The deposit does not pay the rent - it is a deposit held until the end of the tenancy. Perhaps in the past you paid this all in one big lump sum and didn't realise it consisted of deposit AND rent.
If the deposit paid the first months rent - there would be no deposit to return at the end of the tenancy! I assume you have had deposits returned when you ended your previous tenancies?
You are being asked to pay a deposit AND rent for the first few weeks of the tenancy.
This is perfectly normal.0 -

I think since you are still clearly quite confused about what you have already paid for, that you should ask for a written schedule of what you have paid (and what it was for, whether it is refundable etc) and what you have still to pay, what this is for, and when this is due, and how it is due (i..e cleared funds only?)
Then it will be clearer as to whether you have any cause for complaint or whether you just misunderstood.0
