Is it really stainless steel? Ive seen the TV show about medical instruments being made in very unsanitary places.
Rusty instrument blanks then shaped and polished and sharpened. They looked as good as the real thing after.
Ive bought stuff from china, But i wouldnt buy anything health related.
How will you calibrate the item or check its working properly?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Alternative view - yes they should be. These are very simple pieces of equipment. I could think of many ways to check they are working ok.0

Anyone knows if such an item will be stopped in customs and returned to sender?0

Amazon sell those for a couple of quid.
Not sure why I would bother getting one from overseas and also don't understand why you think importing will be a problem?0 -
Why on earth would customs block a £2 thermometer? Like buggrit says these are very simple and accurate devices that work out temperature using electrical resistance changes, simple enough to stick it in ice or boiling water if you want to check the calibration0

I was just thinking about the sharpness of it, being stainless steel. I dont know how exactly how sharp it is, as it obviously aint a knife.0
