Broken window, should landlord replace???

Hi, can anyone give me some advice please?
A few weeks back I had the outside pane of my double glazed sitting room window broken by what I assume was kids (as i havent upset anyone or have any enemies). I rang my landlords gf who told me she would pass on the message to him. A few days later he came round to have a look at the boiler which was playing up and on his way out said the window was not his responsibility. I got a letter today (reminder to pay rent on tues) and at the botttom was a number of a company to ring and fix window asap!!
I feel really hard done by as the window was faulty in the first place. It had been smashed before and only one pane replaced and in between 2 panes mended with wood as apposed to the metal which normally goes in double glazed windows.
Just wondering if anone knows if it is my responsibility or the landlords? I rent privately and pay £110 pw so really cant afford to pay out for a whole new window. Im on maternity leave and have 2 kids and am poor!!!

We've had this discussion recently and most people think that it would be the landlord's responsibility unless you caused it (which from what you have said you obviously didn't).

I have writer's block - I can't begin to tell you about it.
You told me again you preferred handsome men but for me you would make an exception.

I remember the discussion and as I was reading through my tenancy agreement the other night, it actually says that I am responsible for the windows
I really would have thought it's for the LL to sort.

Not happy, I can tell you and my windows are fine (right now!)

I can believe you are responsible for cleaning them, but not their repair or surely every landlord would be able to write full repairing tenancy agreements. That would never get past an unfair contract term claim. I can't believe that it would stand up in court Doozer.

So shall I smash a window then!? :D

Must read it again, I know it says I have to clean the windows every quarter but I'm sure it says that the windows are for me to fix too.
