Hi,
Please can I ask advice if I was mis-sold PPI.
I took out a Mortgage with Cheltenham & Gloucester through my local Lloyds Bank around 16 years ago and still have it.
I remember after being accepted for a Mortgage I was ushered through to a Lloyds Financial Advisor at the branch to talk about various insurances which I took out. Things like if I lost my job, life insurance, critical illness cover etc.
I was that thrilled at getting accepted for a Mortgage I practically signed everything the Lloyds Financial Advisor threw at me, believing I needed it.
Is this the same thing as PPI
Thank you for your time.

No. It means you sought advice and were given advice on a range of products.
It is possible one of the products is ASU as MPPI didnt exist 16 years ago. However, Lloyds only ever issued monthly premium ASU and not single premium. So, that eliminates the biggest complaint reason.
Do you have any reasons to believe what you were advised was wrong?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -
Presumably you wouldn't be whinging if you'd needed to have claimed on them?0
