Anyone done their IVA through CCCS?

Options
If so would you recommend them?

We have a meeting with them next week to look at setting something up and they seem great but just wanting to get some reviews really if anyone has any experience of them.

Thanks

I done mine through them this year, very helpful and patient with all the questions I asked them. They explained in very clear and easy to understand way which cleared up any confusion I may have had before finalising things.
Roll on DFD, final payment 1st October 2017
  • If you get your IVA through them - all fine and dandy, but don't lose heart if they say you are not eligible.

Well worth shopping around - CCCS are not the impartial company some would have you believe. They are a charity set up and funded by the banks (check their website), so ask yourself: who's interests are they really looking out for?

I tried getting an IVA through them, but they refused - wanted to push me down the Debt Management Plan route (would have lasted over 10 years! On top of that, given how wishy-washy DMPs are, I decided to 'shop around', and have now entered an IVA with another firm, saving me £600 a month, and I am paying back a portion of my original debt at a premium that I can afford.

They are just as good, or as bad, at IVA's as anyone else, but I suspect your point re their initial advice and your own opinions will not make headline news on this particular forum.

Largest, by a mile, debt advice organisation, on the largest forum in the UK, and the original question attracted 2 replies in 2 months. Tells its own story, and may explain why they only have one IP for their millions of enquiries.
  • Fair point, but biggest does not mean best (as is the case with many industries) - Tells its own story: 1 IP for thousands of customers, can't always be great for customer service can it?

Might explain why they were useless in my case, and why I am now with a firm where I can communicate directly with my IP.

    Just my opinion though.
