Debated before but heard mixed reports. Figuring the 'dedication' bit is where users maybe go wrong...
Can I just ask about refills? Do you need them often? Are they pricey? And are they easy to get a hold of?
I haven't had to buy any refills yet.
I think they are around about £20 for 2 last time I checked from Amazon0 -

This device doesn't work, and there's no scientific reason why it should. This is nothing new. It removes hair by singeing. It's no more permanent than shaving. The hair will regrow just as quickly, but it will feel softer because it hasn't been cut at an angle. It will not actually be finer. No amount of 'dedication' will turn singeing into permanent hair removal.
If you want permanent hair removal, get some professional electrolysis. Do not waste your money on these scams.
Really? Well my hair says otherwise! :rotfl:0 -

No, it does not. You say otherwise. I'm sorry, but that means nothing.
You're fooling yourself into thinking that this works because it looks sciencey. Also, you've spent your hard-earned money on it, so to stop you feeling cheated, your mind has convinced itself that you're seeing results.
You're like the people who take homeopathic pills and say their head hurts less. It probably does, but not because the pills work, but because of the placebo effect.
There's no evidence that this works. I'm not talking about random people making baseless claims on a forum. I mean real evidence. There is none. More importantly, there's zero scientific basis for this type of device. Singeing does not permanently remove or reduce hair growth. And wishing that it did won't change that.
Do you really think you'll get the same results from a £70-gadget as from a laser hair removal system that costs tens of thousands of pounds? In that case, maybe you deserve to lose your money.0 -
I have had this for over 18 months. Used it three times a week, every week. It removes hair, but it does not permanently remove or reduce the amount of hair on your body. The only benefit I found, is that I would be shaving my legs daily, but only need to use this three times a week. Not a success and would not recommend. Too expensive at this price and I paid £180 for mine!!!:mad:0

When will we ever learn there are no magic quick fixes. Could not of put it better. Shame though I love the thought of no more waxing! lolHappiness, Health and Wealth in that order please!:A0 -
I bought a no!no! 3 years ago and was quite dedicated over the winter using it twice a week. After about 6 months there was no need to use it anymore. Now the trickiest areas are knees and ankles and those areas took longer to be hair free than the rest of my legs.
My arms, which were not particularly hairy, I only did three times and they are now hair free too.
I would say this would be ideal for a teen as areas that have been shaved for years will take longer to do.
It does take time and effort and if you are not prepared for that then do not buy. One of the best things I ever bought I love being fuzz free.
Oh and when I bought mine I bought loads of spare heads but never had to use them.30+ years working in banking0 -

You don't know me so you don't know what I am like, so get off your high horse and don't be so offensive.
I am not fooling myself into anything - I can see perfectly well thank you very much!
I'd love to show you the before and after pictures but not sure they are suitable for the forum!

I almost bought one of those last week when I saw it at half price on the Internet... but I decided that, before I part with my hard earned dosh, I would check up on it.. and frankly, the reviews put me off and so did the £20 cost of the replacement heads.. Neither did I know how it worked until I read up about it and I would concur with you that singeing the hair would definitely not prevent it regrowing.. It's a shame though, that they have put men on the moon, invented non-stick frying pans, mobile phones etc etc... but there is no effective, permanent, cheap hair removal...
Ah well.....0
