How do I get away from OVO!?

The supplier can only bill you based on the meter readings they have obtained, you have supplied or they have estimated.
This is the same no matter which supplier you decide to switch to.
I can't see anything OVO have done wrong here, and presumably they have good reason to dispute a meter reading you have provided. Perhaps if you sent them a good quality photograph of the meter by email so they can read it themselves, they may be more prepared to accept your reading. It's quite easy to get the reading wrong when you have the old style, multi-dial meter as the clocks go in alternating directions.
If you decide to switch away from the current supplier, then you will no longer be with them.
Ovo charge £30 per supply to switch away before the end of the term, and the new supplier will probably charge you more (otherwise why did you go with OVO initially?)
Note that Ovo also pay interest on customers credit they hold ... and it's quite good based on most bank offerings out there. Most other utility suppliers do not pay interest afaik.0 -

Perhaps the supplier could respond by using the old fashioned method of sending a meter reader out rather than being obstructive.
Its pretty simple to work out daily averages on either side of the problem reading using some customer readings now to see a daily average kwh spike.
They've failed to try to investigate the issue and ignored the customers request to resolve this. That's poor service.:rotfl: It's better to live 1 year as a tiger than a lifetime as a worm...but then, whoever heard of a wormskin rug!!!:rotfl:0 -
