Income protection plans, change needed ?

I have an income protection plan with the Zurich(formerly bought via Allied Dunbar).

Currently benefits are £29316 if unable to work etc. I know this is a difficult area because different polocies vary greatly. I work in NHS so 6 months paid full, 6 at half salary. Cost £60.03. What annoys me with Zurich(allied irritants etc) is they happily write telling me my cover has increased by 3.9% but payment has gone up by 6.7% !!!

Currently aged 47. Health - good (I hope)

Is there anything cheaper out there

Any help much appreciated

Kerry
