Thinking of Buying an Ikea Kitchen

Next summer we're planning to renovate our dated kitchen and replace it with an ikea one. We've read lots of good reviews on them and our only real issue is that we have a heat vent under our sink and we're not sure if an ikea kitchen will accommodate this feature? Also we desperately need to replace the counter tops with some simple ikea laminate ones as soon as possible and we want to know if we would later be able to move the new laminate counter tops onto the ikea kitchen?

If your sink and hob are in exactly the same spot and you are not changing the layout at all and if you just straight cut them and use a joining strip which is less good than doing a proper butt and scribe masons joint.......then you may be able to reuse the worktop.

Personally I would just buy a very cheap laminate as a temporary fix until you redo the kitchen.

A good designer and fitters should be able to incorparate your heat vent whatever make of units you get.
