Removing old grout from walls

Hi all

Ive just taken down tiles from out bathroom.
A few bits of plaster has come off, I have read on here thats not to bad a problem and can be plastered over, can anyone recommend what the plaster is I need to do this with?

Also, there seems to be alot of old grout on the wall left over, any tips on the best and quickest! way to get this off?

Many thanks :)

wickes sell a universal type plaster. itll do most jobs and most thickness.

old grout can be removed with a good bolster chisel, a bit slow and tedious but it works ok.
and a good sharp cold chisel (or an old wood chisel) for any real hard to move bits.
    Get some gorm.
