Even if these "Games" Advance tickets do offer the limited flexibiilty of being able to travel on a later train IF your event overruns, they are, in many cases more expensive than half the SVR (Off-peak return) on the same route, so still a poor buy.

As I said before, check both sites to see which is best for your route.

That's interesting. The Games tickets I booked all came as unrestricted singles for the date specified. For me a peak return to London would be over £35 but the Games tickets worked out as £16 return which is a great price.
