Travelcards with all tickets?

Hi
I'm looking to book some tickets, and I was told that with the Paralympic (sp) events you get posted a travelcard too- which makes going to london much more affordable
Question, do they send them out with the £5 kids tickets too?
Do they send free travelcards out with Olympic events too where the date is far enough in advance for them to be posted?
Thank you!

Kids under 11 don't need a travelcard as they travel free. Over 11 need a child one so I am assuming they would send one of those. Haven't bought any myself yet though to confirm.
Actually just realised I don't think they even ask the childs age when buying paralympic tickets. Not sure what they do but I'm pretty sure travel for all will be free for that day with the ticket.:j Trytryagain FLYLADY - SAYE £700 each month Premium Bonds £713 Mortgage Was £100,000@20/6/08 now zilch 21/4/15:beer: WTL - 52 (I'll do it 4 MUM)0 -

yes to all your questions .
We have 2 sets of Paralympics events tickets, on 2 dates. I have £10 adult tickets, £5 kids tickets for each event. With each ticket comes a games travelcard, including the £5 kids tickets. I've already got all tickets and travelcards at my home address because I paid the £6 postage fee.0 -

The Games rail tickets were much cheaper for me. I guess it depends on the route and when you are travelling. One advantage of the Games tickets is that they can be used on any train on that day including peak services. If you book a supersaver (or whatever they are called these days) you could be limited to a particular train.0 -
Oh, I thought it was like a tarvel card, so I just got on any waterloo bound train ( I'm in Surrey) and used the ticket- do i need to book a train journey?0

The Olympic travel cards cover ones 1-9 .... for for example when I took the train yesterday from Reading, I bought a Reading to Feltham return, then used the Olympic travel card from there.
The travel card would not have covered me from Reading (cos it isn't zones 1-9)
I believe Slough and Windsor have been made zone 9, due to spectators getting to the rowing at Eton Dorney, so I think the travel cards are valid from those stations.0 -
Ah I see! Thank you0

This is also not always true. Some of the Advance tickets on the Games booking website are not branded as Games tickets. I've asked the question on Railforums, and even the experts there aren't clear if those tickets are subject to the limited flexibility promised for Games tickets. The terms and conditions that come up indicate not, but some people think the terms are wrong.
Even if these "Games" Advance tickets do offer the limited flexibiilty of being able to travel on a later train IF your event overruns, they are, in many cases more expensive than half the SVR (Off-peak return) on the same route, so still a poor buy.
As I said before, check both sites to see which is best for your route.0 -
We are coming up to the Paralympics from Bournemouth and intend to drive to somewhere like Richmond or Twickenham and park, continuing by tube. Can anyone recommend cheap parking in these areas or south west London?0
