I had the same problem with the motor humming but not running. I looked at this thread, took its advice and bought a "DUCATI 7uf CAPACITOR MOTOR RUN 450v 7mfd" from eBay - cost £7.49 - changed it in about 3 minutes (very simple job) and everything is back to normal. Thanks.0
