Santander - Where is my money going?

Right just to start this isn't a massive amount of money I'm going to talk about but as I don't have much in my account I may go overdrawn (had to pay £50 once for being £1.29 overdrawn for 1 day!) I've got a standard free current account and visa debit card with Santander.
I frequently use online banking and have been checking my available balance before spending anything. About a week ago 50p randomly went out of my account (from available balance not current balance). I had used my card a lot so assumed I'd just miscalculated what I'd spent so forgot about it. I've looked through my statement but can't find the odd 50p so probably my mistake
However, about four days ago another 50p went out of my account when i only had £10 left in my account and I know for a fact I hadn't used my card for 50p, then it mysteriously went back in about a day later.
Now for the past few days my balance (available and current) has been £10.01 and I put £6 into my national lottery account (not via paypal just card) and oddly my available balance has gone down to £1.73. This isn't really a problem but i'm worried sick more is going to go out and make me go overdrawn.
Is anyone else having this problem or know what is going on??!
I would suspect fraud - those people who take 50p out of 100 accounts a day or whatever but it's obviously not because it's going back in. Then I thought it may be charges by my bank for using my card online or something but yet again why would the first two be 50p and go back in and this be £2.27?
Any help or advise would be very much appreciated and the sooner the better!

Is this money 100% leaving your account? If it's just the available balance it could be a card authorisation where the money is credited at a later stage. Is it a card payment? If so call 0800 169 7903 and you'll get through to card services who can set up a visa dispute. Sounds like you need your card stopped and reordered if you're unsure about transactions.0

Well it's stating my available balance (the one that goes down the minute you spend money) is decreasing more than I'm actually spending. Like I said the initial 50p I thought I'd just miscalculated so didn't keep an eye on it but the second 50p definitely went out of my account (from available balance) for a day and went back in - but with no proof in the transactions. Now the £2.27 went out last night when I hadn't spent it and still hasn't gone back in. It's not the money going out I'm worried about atm I worried that money I'm not spending going out of my available balance is going to make me go overdrawn.
The second 50p went out of my account and back in before anything showed up on my transactions and the same with the £2.27 it only went out yesterday when I made a transaction of £6 (not including the £2.27) and the £6 transaction is not showing in my statement yet and neither is the £2.27.0 -
Just got through to the bank and they've told me it's some kind of security payment when I use my card online with some sites that use the extra password thing and that the money will go back in. Bit annoying though could've made me go overdrawn! Thanks for your help!0

All Santander accounts have been given a 'buffer' of £12 (since 9 months or so). You will not be charged any fees, unless you exceed those twelve quid.0
