Why does Ebay seller ask for mob tel >scam?

Have a look at this item..
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/IN-CAR-DVR-TFT-2-5-LCD-IR-HD-QUALITY-CAMERA-RECORDER-/251112299132

The seller states it is uk stock. A lot of these are actually drop shipped from China hence the reason why so many are listed.

The address the seller gives seems to be also shared by a branch of mailbox inc.

Anyway in the selling dialogue, you are asked to edit your address and include your phone no/mob tel.

Can anyone see whats going on here if anything?
Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..

I don't think anything is going on. Seller may well have bought a load from the Far East rather than risk drop shipping, they are a TRS so not likely to risk it by scamming.

The tel number is probably needed for the courier and is not unusual.

There was a thread about it very recently - couriers tend to use mobile numbers if anything goes wrong. The seller may just be covering themselves as on that thread most people said they would prefer to be asked permission when their details are given out to third parties and that is one way of asking that permission.

Although I sometimes despair at TRS' terms, they would not be TRS if they were not keeping people happy (and there have been stories that some of the big outlet sellers have lost TRS, though since I don't use them I don't know the veracity of that). The criteria are pretty strict so if they were diddling their customers they would have the feedback to prove it.

I would always look closely at feedback, and if it worries you go elsewhere, but TRS still means something.

HD quality, So its not really a HD camera.

Checkout reviews on youtube etc. AVI format cams tend to drop frames.

Even with class 10 memory cards.

Can't be for a courier as the listing says it's delivered by royal mail.
