Liverpool Airport Arrivals

I am looking for some information on the arrivals area of Liverpool airport. We arrive in at 12:30pm but my father in law probably won't get to us until 3/4pm....So a bit of a wait in the airport! We just wondered, is there any where we can actually go? Is there any restaurants or anything? I'd look at paying for an airport lounge but I believe they are for departures only and it's around £40!

There are several airport style places to eat once you get into the arrivals area (Subway, WHSmith) + several others)

however as you state you arrive at 12.30, most of the places would be shut at that time

pretty certain there's a bar where you'll be able to buy drinks etc ,

where are you heading onto ???

can you not get a taxi to a nearby hotel, you may be able to relax more there in comfort

Go to the bus stop, the coach companies will give you drinks and money to sit on the buses and stop the wheels being nicked.

Might be worth ringing them. The link in that reply suggests that wetherspoons is in departure after security but a couple of years ago we sat there prior to checking in. I know that as I didn't know where we were going and was looking at the screens trying to guess.
If its still the same you can just come out of arrivals and pop back in departures to go there

Most of the stuff used to be open to all but after a revamp the first floor and all the eateries/shops there became departures only as it is behind the security. The only stuff open to visitors/arrivees are the few on the ground floor at the North (?) end

  • Do you need to be "in" the airport for that length of time?

There's a retail park about 5-10mins walk away that will help you kill some time.

The nearby retail park is more than a five minute walk. You can catch a bus (82) there or a taxi. There are shops and a pizza hut/Mcdonalds etc, loads of shops to browse. There is a restaurant just across the road from the retail park too.
The airport is pretty tiny, and there really isn't much there to kill any time
