We went to Hyde Park for Olympic Torch finale concert. Security was very strict with no liquids over 100ml allowed in and no food. They had airport type security with bags x-rayed and searched, plus you had to go through the metal dector. There was a huge amount of suncream, perfume, makeup, perfume, drinks, sealed packets of biscuits, sandwiches, sweets etc in the clear bins at security that must have been taken off people. They also took folding chairs, flags off the people in front of us. We purchased water in bottles for £2.50 inside and there were free water points inside to refill up these bottles from. The food in the place was burgers at about £4.50, chips £3, noddles with sweet and sour chicken £7.50. Larger, cider, wine was about £4.50.

I would take a picnic blanket with you as the wood bark really dirties your clothes if you sit on it. We were fortunate that Coca Cola were sponsoring the event so they had a free coke and coke zero bar and there was no limit as to the number of times you could go up to get one and it was ice cold. I got the Boots buy 1 get 5 free deal for 75ml suncream bottles posted on the grabbit forum and brought these with me as the weather was very hot on the day we went. We had a really fab day.

Welcome to MSE and hope you enjoy the day at Hyde Park.
