suggestions please

we are thinking of having a summer holiday this year with our 7yr old daughter and we have a choice between crete corfu or tenerife(as they all go direct from bournemouth),or switzerland as my hubby wants to go there.what do other mse's think of these destinations?.We arent really beachy people(we can do that all the time!!),but want to combine some time on the water with things of interest.
Im not too sure what we could do with a 7yr old in switzerland??

Have you looked at Lake Annecy in France or the Italian Lakes ? Both areas have lots to do and see

Tenerife is ok, always something for people to do, switzerland on the other hand is maybe ok if you have older children, 7 year old may not be as interested in the things that you would ie the scenery etc, tenerife also isn't all that expensive and only 4 hours flying, crete and corfu im not to fond of especially with some of the trouble that goes on ( im just old fashioned at times )

If you do find a nice destination and hotel i would highly recommend that you try reading reviews first as well, holidaytruths.com is full of good information, HTH.

Some things to do in Tenerife:
Loro Parque (parrot park/zoo plus shows including dolphins, killer whales and sea lions- http://www.loroparque.com/ingles/fullpage.html
Aqualand (water park with dolphin shows and dolphin experience if you pay 55 euros extra - http://www.aqualand.es/tenerife/index.php?wlang=en
