investing £15,000 for children .endowment ?

my 2 children have been left £15,000 between them in a will .I am lost as how to invest it safley for them for a 20yr term . Does anyone know if an endowment policy is any good ?

Endowment? Have you been on a different planet for the last 7 years?
Even if it was still a viable product the taxation is greater than unit trusts for basic rate taxpayers or lower.
