Can I claim for Mortgage Protection under PPI?

I have had 'Mortgate protection' for the past 6 years which I was pushed into taking out through a Mortgage advisor (initially including sickness cover which I cancelled once reflected on), however I still have a payment of £12 come out every month and cannot find any paperwork to tell me what this is/what covers.

All I know is that it is deducted via DD monthly and is a Legal & General product.

How do I go about finding out what this is and can I pursue under the umbrella of a 'PPI' claim?

Ask Legal & General since it is their product.
