being charged purchase interest ?

OH got a cap1 credit card and i have just noticed hes being charged aprox £11 every month for "purchase interest" now the card has ever been used only to balance transfer when we first got it....so never purchased anything with card ....should he be paying purchase interest....?

HAs the OH ever been late or missed a payment? If so, it is possible that the late fees are classed under the purchase plan.
