Black gloss tiles, grrr!

I thought i'd ask in here if anyone has some kind of miracle cleaner for black gloss tiles (porcelain).
No matter what i do they appear to have a streaky 'film' on them that short of buffing every single tile for half an hour with a microfiber i'm not sure how to get off.
I've tried glass cleaner, hot soapy water (fairy), mr muscle, baking powder and nothing is helping. When its rinsed it looks fine its drying it that immediately it looks grubby.
I'm having the same problem with my glass bath screen but on a lesser scale and its driving me nuts seeing smears and general grubbiness on the tiles.
Any help would be appreciated xx

HAve you tried either a granite cleaner or baby oil?0

I haven't tried either! Baby oil really? i'll need to try it, i have some bedtime baby lotion that would smell lush too! Do you mean to use it on a cloth after an initial clean much like stainless steel? xI LOVE MSE! :money:0

Wipe a squeegee over them same as you do glass.. and clean with vinegar solution.. if it works for glass it will work for gloss tiles.LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0

I have black granite work surfaces in the kitchen that I used to have a similar problem with. I then found that if I used Lidls own wipes, the surfaces dried streak free - worth a go perhaps ?
I find them much better than the more expensive brands which tend to be quite wet & soapy - the Lidl's ones don't foam"Science is a wonderful thing if one does not have to earn one's living at it" Einstein 19510 -
Once you get them clean put car wax on them, quickly! Doing this every three or four months helps stop that build up of white...0

You must live in a hard water area, it is limescale build up. I agree with the wipes and then car wax to protect the tilesBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

get yourself a good microfibre mop or cloth, and get some lithofin easycare. use this instead of floor cleaner.0 -
As this has dropped down the OS Board, i've moved it to the in my home board, as it's quite a specialised question which I suspect the in my home folk may be able to help you with
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. Oh the joys of natural stone tiles, I hope you do know that natural stones has to be sealed to prevent staining ? If you use lithofin this needs to be done every 12-18 months, fila on the other hand is every 5-7 yrs, if the tiles weren't sealed in the first place or if they haven't been sealed in the time scales above then that's why they are staining.I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -
When you say microfibre - do you mean a generic one or an e-cloth? I've had both, the cheaper ones are great for general wiping over and cleaning but aren't as effective as a proper e-cloth (the blue one for glass and green one for chrome) Mine are getting a bit raggedy now, but are touching on 8years old and still working perfectly.0
