How much spending money to spain

Going for a week in August half board, two adults and two kids, 10 and 8. How many Euros would you recommend taking?

Comments

  • Last time i went to Menorca (me, wife and 2 year old daughter) we went self-catering and took €700 (thinking €100 per day).
We had lunch in our apartment and ate out every night with drinks etc.
There wasn't much to do so all our money really went on food and drink.
we did end up taking out a further €200 during the week as we had a bit of a blow out on the last couple of days :)

With you being half board i'd say that will save you a good chunk of that, but depends on if there are many activities for the kids?

It's the 'how long is a piece of string question' if you don't say what trips, - if any - you are planning on doing. €50 a day for lunches and ice creams, €50 an evening for drinks etc? Ball park figures. Car hire? Petrol? Taxis? And if you're going to Benidorm or Salou and visiting the theme parks then you'll need €100+ a day just in entry fees.

I'd say pool in the day, morning and evening meals taken care of but obviously snacks and drinks in the day. May dine out 2 or 3 nights. No trips forseen. No car hire, no taxis.

Last time I went to Spain was about 15 years ago so you can appreciate why I haven't a clue!

Depends which part of spain. Benidorm is cheap, Tenerife etc pretty cheap, mainland such as Salou is quite expensive. Also depends what you are planning to do.
    £100 - £10,000

As above, unless you're particularly extravagant, €75 - 100 per day should be ample
