Is this another holiday scam?

I received a telephone call telling me that 2 weeks luxury holiday time I had "banked" was about to expire. I had apparently earned this because my annual timeshare maintenance had exceeded a threshold, entitling me to this reward. We actually sold our timeshare more than 3 years ago. If I didn't intend using the holiday soon I could re-register it for another 5 years on payment of £198 insurance, but I would get some free European flights thrown in. It all sounded like a scam so I declined and hung up.

Was I right? Has anyone with a timeshare had this sort of reward offered them?

What are you getting for £198?

I would imagine for the £198, your going to get the flights, some accomodation and the hard sell at the daily meetings..

The duck test is always worth keeping in mind
If it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, looks like a duck, it's probably a duck
