Joined the throng outside Aldi at 8.55am yesterday and got the microwave. Very impressed. Two palletts had gone by the time I reached the checkout after doing other bits of shopping.

Have set it up and it is excellent. The casing did get hot when we had it on for the 20 minutes as suggested. Impressed with the 3 year guarantee.

    Hi again...

Not sure if I have come up with the first problems that this Combi/Microwave might have :(

I'd appreciate it if someone could try the following...

When using the grill only on... the D1 setting I think... the grill is set to maximum power... despite this I don't think that the grill is getting as hot as it should... the heating element remains dark in colour whereas I would have expected this to glow red?

Also if you pop some bread or similar in to test the grill after say a few minutes, the timer and grill will just stop... this seems inconsistant though at first I wondered if the oven was trying to be clever and stop once it assumed the food had been cooked...surely that is unlikely though.

Also yesterday tried the convection setting only to cook a pizza... 30 minutes later the Pizza was still not cooked despite the convection oven being set to 200 degrees. I would have expected the convection feature on the oven to work in much the same way as our main electric oven which will cook the pizza in around 15 minutes at the same temperature.

Maybe I am misundestanding how to use the convection and grill feature...and that these are simply to aid microwave cooking?

I wish my grill wouldn't work - too many toased teacakes (I've been grill-less for years).
Ours toasts OK and doesn't glow red. If yours stops what you think is earlier than it should - does it give two beeps?? If so, RTFM grill stops part way through to allow toast to be turned over - press 'start' to restart, or it contines itself aftera minute. . Fieve beeps marks the end.

Must admit the instruction booklet is very very poor, gives no hints on how to cook anything :(

Page 20 gives a fairly good guide to how to cook some basic foods.

My only complaint is my manual had no staples in it. :D
