if you are after Disney souvenirs it pays to be aware of what the going rate is for those items. General Disneyland themed items are usually reasonable enough, but you will pay over the odds for things like fancy dress outfits. IMHO there is a far greater range of souvenirs available within the 2 parks than you will find in the disney village, although they are building a large gift shop at the entrance to the village, not sure when that is due to open.

Food is pretty reasonable within the park by theme park standards. Generally speaking 10-12 euro will buy you a burger, fries and drink style meal deal. Read menu boards carefully, especially at the concession stands as there are deals to be had. for example you can pay X amount for a hot drink, or for a euro more you can have the drink in a souvenir thermos mug AND churros. Check you receipts for everything as they very often give till spit vouchers to be redeemed for a free hot drink at specific outlets within the park.

I'd recommend the Disneyland Paris board on the Disboards, as it is a mine of info. They have links to menus for each restaurant/food outlet within the park so you can get a better feel for where would be best for you to eat, both in terms of budget and the food on offer.

You can also find out the location of some fab dsiney secrets within the park. For example I had no idea about the dragon that lives beneath cinderellas castle - fab!

    Fixed it for you.

I would say better value places are available away from the tourist traps. We have found that, in general, France is an expensive place to eat out when compared to the UK.
Really? I've found the opposite. Especially if you go for set menus where there's a choice of 3 or 4 starters, main courses and desserts. Typically EUR 10-20. Hotels even do good value set menus, last hotel we stayed at in France did a 3-course for EUR11 each. Try getting that in a UK hotel!

Best value was a bar we found near Caen which did a 4-course meal including half a litre of wine (or cider) each for EUR9. The kids cost more as cokes weren't included as a free drink whereas wine and cider were so we felt a bit ripped off! Still for under EUR40 for 4 courses for 4 of us with drinks even I couldn't be bothered whinging :)

Hopefully we wont have to spend much on souveiners - 2 children are aged 5 and under 1

My eldest turns 5 just before we go and we've bought her all of the Disney Princess costumes and accessories so that she can take them on the trip - Might buy her a cup or something but hoping that we can avoid a lot of the souviners lol

I had no idea about the dragon so thanks for the info!

Will go and have a look :)

We brought 1000 in July for 4 - no scrimping - bought pressies each day and had no dining plan - and still came back with 200 ! We had annual pass discount though - but you'll def have more than enough ! Hope you and kids enjoy - don't let money worry you !
