Bonus payment after handing in notice

Hi
I have handed in my notice at my current employment in July 2012, we have a quarterly bonus scheme running and the last one ran from April 2012-June 2012 of which I was employed as normal.
Payment for this is at the end of July 2012, I leave work in August and I am doing everything right in terms of notice period which I reduced down by 6 weeks to help the company and workloads etc.. however I have not received my bonus payment today?
Am I entitled to my bonus?
Many thanks

Read the terms of the bonus,
often there is a clause must not be on notice at time of payment.
never a good idea to resign with pending bunus unless you know they will be paid or don't care.0 -
Depends if your contract mentions bonus payment rules?
Give payroll a ring they are normally ok to talk to and should give you something to go on.0 -
what was your full notice are you gtting PILON for not taking all of it0

Hi
No mention of bonus in my contract or in the leaving terms, nothing says I will not receive it if I leave..
I agreed to leave early as I am going freelance and so I reduced my pay by 6 weeks in effect..
Thanks0 -
It's the terms of the bonus you need to find0

Hi
Thanks I will have a look through the terms of the bonus, would that be in my contract or info from HR dept.
Sorry to be a bit vague on this matter.

A bonus by definition is not a part of the salary for the job, it is given to performing/loyal staff as a bonus. In the absence of anything to say otherwise, frankly I think you've waived your right by quitting.0

Probably not, it will likely be entirely discretionary.Thinking critically since 1996....0

Never ever seen a bonus agreement that was not discretionary.
D70How about no longer being masochistic?
How about remembering your divinity?
How about unabashedly bawling your eyes out?
How about not equating death with stopping?0 -
Why do you deserve a bonus?0
