Where can I get some free Accounting software?

Does anyone know where I can download some free accounting software, please? I want to use it for budgets and accounting but I can't find any that isn't a 30 day trial. I know I can use Excel for budgets but that's not what I'm after. I want to be able to use Cost Centre codes to track individual expenses etc. Thanks for any ideas

GnuCash? Free but not as user friendly as some of the paid for options it has been said.

I know a few people who seem to swear by GnuCash, it seems to have a lot of the advanced features that you wouldn't expect from a free product. Although it does have a learning curve it seems once you get over it, most people will find it suitable.0

Gnucash is fantastic.
It's not got quite as nice an interface as MS Money used to have. But I have found it to be a perfectly acceptable replacement since switching from Windows to Linux permanently.0 -
Thanks peeps
I'll give it a go. I'm used to using Intuit's QuickBooks but I'm up for a challenge! Thanks again

Quickbooks is a challenge in itself. If you have mastered that, you should be able to hack GnuCash.

Yes, I must admit it was a bit of a culture shock :rotfl:I've downloaded GnuCash now and it looks quite good. I love the fact that it's double entry, too. I'm hoping to get it up and running later today
