This is a 'head banging against a brick wall' situation arguing ROP or PPI.
The best plan is to attack Vanquis under the mis-selling route. They say in all cases that the welcome call included details of ROP and membership of Protect my ID(owned by Experian) which is useless to Vanquis customers. A person with a poor credit rating (which applies to most Vanquis customers) is unlikely to be a target for identity fraud!!.
No terms of conditions for either 'protect my ID' or ROP are sent to the customer. No signature is obtained giving permission to withdraw funds from your account. It is all a fraud.
I got all my money refunded by pointing out these blatant omissions, for both Protect my ID and ROP.
They will argue that you agreed in the welcome telephone call, ask for either a copy of the recording or a transcript, and they cannot come up with either. Ask for a copy of the documentation which you signed allowing either Experian or Vanquis to deduct money from your account, you will find that they cannot provide that either.
Experian and Vanquis are just bloodsuckers, do as I did and screw them back.
Make sure they pay back every penny.
Contact them by Email and you will not pay the extortionate telephone charges.
If I can help, or if you want further details, let me know, best of luck.0 -
Hi Shezzymoo. I'm new to this site and I have just stumbled across your posting with reference to the Vanquis Repayment Option Plan. I too am experiencing money being taken each month with respect to this plan. When I first applied for the credit card I really cannot remember whether I signed up for this plan or not. I find it so frustrating that you simply cannot speak to a Vanquis customer service agent without it costing you 7p per minute! You mentioned about emailing them. I have emailed them under there financial difficulties address but It would still be nice to actually state my case to them in a proper email whereby they will respond back to me and at least advise me about this plan in more detail. I have other credit cards and If I call there customer service agents it does not end up costing me 7p a minute! This is such a con!! Perhaps you could advise me of there email address. Thank you in advance.0
