Ebay - Packing Heavy Item to go to germany

Sold something on Ebay to go to Germany, The item is very heavy around (20kg) I have the original box with all the foam inside etc which it came with (electrical item) but its only a single wall box and I would sleep better with a bit/lot more protection. Would I be better of getting another box to put the box in and bubble wrap or can the courier company do something?

Not sure were I can buy one heavy duty box from though?

could you not maybe cover the box in bubble wrap then cover that in ripped up sides of another box, as getting two boxes one slightly bigger than the other is not easy to do as I've tried.

I'm not aware that many couriers offer packing services- which one are you using?

I agree though, double boxing is often better, have you any warehouses near you as if so they often take goods in packed in boxes and might let you have an empty one.

for something 20kg a normal box will not be good enough, they are either just folded in or sellotaped, you need a stapled box which are not cheap or easy to find.
