I have a balance with BARCLAYCARD and I have asked them to stop charging me interest and to pay down the balance so effectively freeze the account and they have said no. However, with the interest being charged and me not using the card its going to take twice as long.
I cant zero transfer to another provider as my credit rating is shot due to my ex putting my name on a number of credit agreements. I have got rid of 5 credit cards and a loan and this is my last one but its the biggest and I need to be able to do it with it incurring anymore interest.
Any advice or guidance will be gratefully received.

Yes my advice is stop asking them to freeze the interest as your credit file will be completly trashed and applying for further credit will be very hard indeed.0

So, if I ask them to freeze the account I am making my credit score worse. So I have to incur interest and simply pay it off, which I am doing. I am not in default its just half of what I pay is interest.
Thanks for helping me.:T0 -
The only way they'll freeze the interest is if you default, and that'll be more marks on your credit report. It depends on how much you think your credit report is worth. If its shot to pieces anyway, it might be cheaper to enter a DMP.0
