broken phone insurance

I have been meaning to insure my new mobile phone that is around a month old. I dropped my phone this morning and the screen broke
I've been quoted £120 by a third party to install it. I simply cannot afford it. I was thinking that i should register for mobile phone insurance now and make the claim in a months time.
Is it possible to make claims in pretty new insurance deals?
Does this sound like a ok plan guys?

Thanks for the reply.
Insurance companies are ripping customers off constantly whenever possible. I won't an neither should anyone else feel bad for bending the rules that they bend on a daily basis.0 -
You never heard the expression 2 wrong's don't make a right?
Fraud is fraud.4 Stones and 0 pounds or 25.4kg lighter :j0 -
You aren't bending the rules you are just ignoring them and committing fraud. As a result the price goes up for the rest of us. Quite selfish actions really.
When I claimed for my phone it was assessed for how and when it was damaged. If you try to do this, I hope you get caught. If you aim for the moon if you miss at least you will land among the stars!0 -
