eBay selling guide discussion

I've been selling long time on ebay.
Based on my experience.
It is better to sell with the "Buy Now" option instead of "Bidding"
- The bidding never reach the price of "buy now" items
- People don't bother to pay a fair price instead of bidding and losing time.
- People want the items asap without bidding and checking bids again and again.
- There are items that attract so few bidders that doesn't worth to sell them bidding especially up to £20 items.
- Selling buy now with good pictures will be worth it0 -
My husband had a load of boxed toys from his childhood and we knew that there was some value to them, but did not have the expertise to know the difference between the rare and less rare so we rang a reputable well known Auctioneer who came to have a look. His eyes lit up when he saw them.
He took them away with him to sell at auction to which we were invited to watch, to say we got a pretty penny for them is an understatement, we were well cuffed because we did not let them go as we knew some were ok some were quite valuable
Please don't sell without expertise advice0 -
People want blood out of stone - and more - be prepared to have to sell for peanuts - even if brand new with tags, plus free postage and then be charged the eBay and PayPal fees on top ...
And then private (individual) sellers are subject to the same “eBay money back guarantee” that businesses are - e.g be prepared to HAVE to accept a return for 30 days (even if stated otherwise).
Whatever the case, you will certainly not get anywhere near the proper value of something’s true monetary worth.0 -
