Who issued the ticket, council or private parking company? If the latter, just ignore.

I know there is always the debate about whether parking fines are enforceable etc.

But in this instance the OP admits they were in the wrong, why not just pay the fine, learn from the mistake and move on?

Mainly because if it's a private invoice that it's highly likely the PPC don't even have the legal right to try and charge the OP.

Or alternatively ignore it, learn from the mistake and move on.

Then don't ignore it - appeal. You should post on Pepipoo who may be able to find it has been incorrectly issued.

OK, do not ignore this. You need to post on Pepipoo, and post the PCN both sides (minus PCN no. and VRN)

Is it worth appealing if im in the wrong though? i was just told there is a possible chance even if youve parked wrong that you can get away with it..

You have nothing to lose by appealing within 14 days. Even if they reject your appeal they will extend the discount period by another 14 days.

At that point you can decide whether it is worth risking appealing further.
