I'm neither and I think they are very restrictive descriptions of people to fit into!
You assume a spender can't keep the same job and is going to job hop. You assume the non-spender will work themselves into the ground and not change jobs at all unless forced to by the employers actions. Its just not that simple.
I'm a relatively low spender who has, in the past, taken the decision that health is better than money and left jobs that were driving me mad. Not because I've been doing something I didn't really want to do but because I hit a point where all the factors were overbalancing and pushing me too far (or because I was commuting 4+hrs a day in total due to unreliable transport links).
I also made sure when we took out our mortgage that it wasn't too high to be managed on one income should the worst happen. And it did - at one point both of us were out of work for a few months but had savings to cope until we were both back in work.0
