£20 new notes

The new ones will gradually phase in and the old ones phase out. At some point the BoE will announce that old notes won't be accepted at high-street banks at some time in the future, then you'll probably have a year or two where your bank will "send them off" (so a delay in crediting your account).
Shouldn't cause any problems - they changed the fiver a few years back didn't they? Anyway, not very MSE to keep a stash of twenties under the mattress...0 -

I didn't even know they existed until I went to my nans on Wednesday! They really do look like Euros.
I was so impressed that I asked if we could swap! :rotfl:"I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0 -
Bit off topic.....I have just been offered a £100 note in my shop this morning by an american tourist.
P.S.
Declined it tho0 -
Was it issued by the Northern Bank by any chance.
