Hi, how do I get the First Direct regular saver without making their current account my main account or paying in £1500 a month? I remember seeing something on here before but can't find it. Many thanks

Open an everyday e-saver and deposit £1.

Yeah I think you can have their savings account or credit card - I had both when they started charging, so I'm not sure.0

Do I still need to have their bank account too?0

You need a 1st account to open the reg saver and then the everyday e-saver to get out of the £1500 a month thing.0

Thanks very much

I'd avoid putting money into the banks at all except for your day to day. I wouldn't trust them with my savings.
Why keep your money in the banks gaining no interest while the value of it slowly gets eaten away.0 -
The regular saver also has to come directly out of your First Direct current account.0

Well this account pays 8% which is more than inflation so it does not get eaten away. So other than banks what's the alternative?0 -
