Tiny windows after loading windos 7 Ultimate. Help

Options
I wonder if anyone can please help me.We have recently uploaded Windows 7 Ultimate. It has thrown up a lot of glitches which I have sorted out.

But after a windows upgrade today, all the windows are really small. I can change the size by clicking on the VIEW on the toolbar, and altering the zoom to 185%, which is fine, but I have to do it again nearly every time.

The weird thing is, some pages are loading at the normal size. Can anyone please help, as it is doing my head in. I hope its not too technical to get it corrected as I am not very technical.

Thanks in anticipation.

What do you mean by 'all the windows are really small'? What windows? Do you mean the text on websites is small (you mention pages 'loading at the normal size' so I assume you are talking about websites)?
And what program are you using, Internet Explorer?

And I'm sure fixing it won't be too technical, don't worry.

I am using Internet Explorer. Maybe it's just sematics, you say tomato & I say tomato.
Anyway what I was trying to say is when I load a webpage, instead of all of the screen being covered, I have a small webpage with large borders down each side. Consequently the print is tiny because the webpage I I am viewing is also tiny.

hey, if everything in Internet Explorer is small, try CTRL and 0 (zero) on the keyboard to reset the web page.

If literally everything on the screen is too small, it sounds like your screen resolution has changed.

    1. Right click on the desktop (the bit with all the icons on when you first turn on)
    2. click Screen Resolution
    3. move the slider bar and press APPLY and test until you find a size you're happy with. Most common one people use to make things bigger is 1024*768
    4. press OK to keep the settings
