Super Balance Transfer

I asked Barclaycard if they would do a 'super' balance transfer to my account so that I could pay off a car loan at a much lower rate than I am now. They refused and did not give me any explanation as to why. I know they're under no obligation to do the transfer, but I wondered if anyone knew what the criteria would be for getting accepted for a transfer? I have plenty left on the balance to cover the transaction and have made all payments on time etc.

Thanks.

I think these deals are now rarer than rocking horse poop.

Not sure about Barclaycard, the option has been there in my account for years but there's never been an offer available, only to transfer from another CC.

Most (all?) cards issued by MBNA, including Virgin, offer SBTs, you could try applying for one of those if your credit history is ok?
