ssp whilst retired

Hi wonder if anyone can help? My mum retired at 60 but carried on in her job which she has worked in for over 30years, she just reduced her hours down so she still got a little extra ontop of her pension, now sadly she has become quite ill which may hopefully be tempory so she wants to know if she is still entitled to ssp, she no longer pays NI but does pay tax on the small amont she earns.
I think she hopes that ssp will give her extra protection and keep the job open for her should her health improve?

Many Thanks

  • There is no longer an age restriction on SSP but she would need to meet the earnings criteria, does she earn at least £107 per week gross?
