buying a new car petrol or diesel?
Hi everyone this is my first post in this part of the forum. I currently have a fiat multipla 53reg which has just cost me £400 to get it through its MOT:eek:. After spending nearly £1k on it in the last 12 months i am looking to replace it with something a little smaller, newer and that can fit 3 car seats in the back. Have been looking at the Kia Ceed which seems to be big enough. Our local Kia dealer has a 2011 1.6 diesel for sale at £8988 with 17k miles on the clock and also a 2012 1.4 petrol which has done 3.5k and is £500 more expensive. Which would you go for? Would it be worth paying the extra for the newer car?
Many thanks
Many thanks

How many miles a year do you do? And what type of driving do you do most? Are you doing short journeys around town or longer journeys, or a mix of both?"You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"

Definitley go for the petrol.0

Kia Ceed 1.6 Diesels didn't get a DPF or DMF come to that till about 2010, DPF (Diesel Particulate Filter) you really don't want given your localish running.
Unless you want to find a slightly older Ceed Diesel, then as the poster above suggests, get the petrol.0 -
Does not a Kia lack a spare tyre. No spare and 3 kids, bad combination.**** I hereby relieve MSE of all legal responsibility for my post and assume personal responsible for all posts. If any Parking Pirates have a problem with my post then contact me for my solicitors address.*****0

As a low mileage towncar, save £6k and get a nice cheap, petrol Focus and get one of those triple car seats that fit in just about every car.0
