Should I open an Ebay Shop?

Just after some opinions from the sellers here as to whether it would be worthwhile me opening an Ebay shop - even if only for one month or so?
I'm relatively new to Ebay (since last Oct) and have mainly bought items and sold 3 items so far. I'm now thinking of listing something like 50-60 items..mainly books/cd's and DVDs.I know that listings in an ebay shop only cost 5p + 5p for gallery..obviously a lot cheaper than listing each item as an individual auction. What I really need to know is would ebay let me do this even if I have no intention of keeping a permanent shop? Any ideas/opinions would be appreciated, thanks.

Your basic ebay shop will cost you £6 per month on top of your listing fees. You really need to work out if that is better or worse than just paying standard listing fees on all your items.

You say you have only sold a few items so far, but have you already built up a high feedback from buying? If not, it might be better to concentrate on building up your feedback first.

Books and CDs, unless they are cult or rare items or unless you can really beat the other sellers on price might not rake in the sales. Double check your profit margins by looking through the completed sales for identical items and make sure you can really compete on price. Once you know you can compete price wise with the items already sold, then consider the costs associated with the shop.

Thanks soolin, so far I have 62+ positive 100% feedback. To be honest I don't really expect to make tons of cash selling the books and cd's etc..I was just thinking more about whether a shop would be more economically viable than individual listings. And I think a shop would be..in view of the number of items I'm going to list.Cheers!
