Lost payment

I make my payment online each month to my tesco credit card. this time they had updated their site so i had to re-register and made my payment over the phone with them. when i was finally able to log in, my payment wasnt there and i had a late payment charge against me. i checked my bank account and it clearly showed the payment going out. i called tesco and the late fee was refunded and i was assured the payment would be found. this was at the start of june before the problems with ulster bank. i have made several calls to tesco and provided all the details (reference number, amount paid, time i called, my bank details the payment came from etc). They have sent a letter telling me they cant find the payment, though the letter doesnt even appear to have been filled out correctly as it states "about your payment of £0 on 1/06 at NO". I went to my bank and they have confirmed the payment went out and given me their reference number for it. Each time i call the customer service number i get the run around about the department that investigates these problems cant call me and are working a back log.

Apart from asking my bank to recall this payment what can i do?? i've all but given up on calling their customer service numbers.
