Thorpe Park Car Park

Hi, does anyone know if I can drop teens at Thorpe Park, pay to use the car park there (£4 according to the website), but not actually enter the park myself?
I would like to do some sightseeing and return later in the day to collect the kids.

The nearest town, Staines, has little in the way of sightseeing but there are river Thames gardens and parks. The shopping centre and high street are average. You could drive to Windsor (although parking there is difficult particularly in the summer) or alternatively catch a train from Staines. There are two trains an hour from Staines and the journey is approx 15 mins. Windsor is obviously a touristy town and good for sightseeing and shopping. Salters steamers offer trips along the Thames between Staines and Windsor so you could go one way by boat.0
